I have long nails and the keyboard is easy enough to use and has a nice feel to it. You can turn off the touchpad with a click of a button (really nice since I prefer a mouse!) The "mini" mouses out on the market are 3.5"L x 2"W, and that's not a mini mouse, it is simply a shorter mouse. This mouse is roughly 2"L x 1.5"W.
