The highs are really clean and they can take some abuse. I paid $50 for the pair on Ebay and I don't regret it one bit. I have hooked up a new Sony Xplod XM-D400P5 400 Watt RMS sub amp to them. While they are loud and put out clean bass, they don't have much excursion. I installed it with a cheap 7" in dash LCD from ebay. I sold my old Kenwood KCD-MP522 on Ebay to get this deck.
